Known for having the world's greatest marine biodiversity, Raja Ampat is home to countless marine and land animals. However, this natural paradise is threatened by climate change, coral bleaching, mass tourism and marine pollution.
Child Aid Papua integrates environmental education as an integral part of everyday school life. The aim is to create a deep-rooted environmental awareness among the learners. This integrative approach means that environmental issues are not only addressed in special lessons, but also across all subjects.

Health Care
As a boarding school, the health of our students is our highest priority. Medical care in Raja Ampat is largely limited to traditional village medicine methods. For more serious illnesses, a visit to the city hospital is necessary, but these are often poorly equipped and difficult to reach.
To counteract this, Child Aid Papua has set up its own school clinic to provide basic medical care. We also promote health awareness and prevention with the students.
«Having traveled extensively and documented numerous aid projects worldwide, the experiences I encountered at Child Aid Papua Foundation were truly exceptional and unlike anything I have witnessed anywhere – I am deeply impressed.»
Simon Lister, Professional Photographer and Filmmaker

«Kids are the main and important part of a development plan. They can transfer the knowledge to their families and have an effective role to develop the concepts. Congratulations to Child Aid Papua School for providing this opportunity for the kids of this region! Really fantastic!”
Alireza Amrikazemi, UNESCO Global Geopark Evaluator

«I had the honor of visiting the Child Aid Papua high school in 2024 and filming for a day with the children in year 9. I was struck by the joy and engagement the children had with learning and the knowledge and connection they all shared with the natural world. The school is extraordinary and I think the children attending this school are incredibly lucky to have this facility and support.»
